Originally from The Netherlands, Anne-Marije Rook is a multilingual journalist currently residing in Portland, Oregon, USA.
She has worked in media for nearly two decades, and has experience in print, radio and digital journalism. From politics to city-wide news to sports, there are few topics Anne-Marije hasn’t covered, and she harbors an old school love for the written word and an unwavering faith in the power of storytelling.
Anne-Marije started off as a newspaper reporter, cutting her teeth in bustling newsrooms, where the coffee was always burnt and the clocks were constantly running out of time. From there, she dabbled in radio before going all-in on print publishing, podcasts and, of course, digital media.
Anne-Marije has been published in dozens of publications worldwide and continues to grow her portfolio through a variety of projects, including articles, magazines, books and podcasts.
